Biography for Lois Sury

As a native New Mexican, Lois Sury brings a wealth of local knowledge to her clients. Graduating Summa Cum Laude from Eastern New Mexico University with degrees in sociology and business, Lois has also gained valuable experience in both government and education. This diverse background contributes to her positive and energetic approach to real estate.

Lois is dedicated to efficiently and energetically finding the perfect real estate for her clients, whether its a first home, investment property, or second home. With 30 years of experience in the Santa Fe real estate market, she ensures that the buying and selling process is a fun, positive, exciting, and organized learning experience.

Throughout her career, Lois has held numerous leadership positions with the Santa Fe Association of Realtors and the New Mexico Association of Realtors, including roles on the board of directors, as treasurer, on the executive committee, and as a representative director. She has chaired various committees and currently serves as the federal political coordinator to U.S. Senator Heinrich and as a member of the education advisory committee at the New Mexico Real Estate Commission. Lois also teaches the NMREC Core Course several times annually.

In recognition of her exemplary service, Lois was honored with the 2007 Realtor of the Year award, one of the highest honors given to a Realtor. This award is based on adherence to the Realtor code of ethics, industry professionalism, participation in Realtor associations at all levels, and community service. In 2022, she received the Lifetime Achievement award from her peers at the Santa Fe Association of Realtors for her extensive contributions to the real estate industry.

Lois served as president of the Santa Fe Association of Realtors in 2010 and will be the president of the New Mexico Association of Realtors in 2026. She has furthered her real estate education by acquiring numerous designations, including ABR, CRS, GRI, E-pro, RSPS, TRC, GREEN, AHWD, SFR, CIPS, and C2EX. She also earned the new Santa Fe Specialist designation, a course she helped create to enhance real estate professionals knowledge of Santa Fe real estate, as well as NAR Bias Override and Fairhaven.

She enjoys visiting and getting to know her clients on a personal level while helping them fulfill their real estate goals and dreams. She looks forward to assisting future clients with their home needs.
