In the days of our fathers, the corner barber shop was a place where a man could go and put aside the cares of the world for a little while. He could relax and have his hair cut by a craftsman who took pride in his work. That shop has largely been replaced by the generic hair salon in the mall. But a few of us hold to the traditions of the golden age. Classic barbering is still alive.
Come in. Sit down. Have a beer. Tell me how you'd like your hair to look. I'll do my very best to get you looking tip-top, and I'll finish the haircut by shaving your neck with a hot towel, hot lather, and a cold straight razor. In a couple of weeks, if your haircut starts to look a little untidy, come in and I'll touch you up around the ears and shave your neck again. There's no charge.
