    Biography for Marilyn Foss

Becoming a licensed Realtor in 1984 and starting with the leading boutique firm of French and French Fine Properties, Marilyns career has spanned working on the original sales teams of several successful developments, marketing and selling estate properties and being a top producer for nearly 30 years. Marilyns clientele comes from throughout the United States and internationally. Her recent emphasis has been representing, marketing and selling one-of-a-kind estate properties in the Santa Fe area.

Success in real estate, and especially in Santa Fe where no two deals are ever identical, requires open, honest communications, attentiveness to clients needs and concerns and being pro-active. Marilyns clients lead busy lives, and they appreciate and trust her attention to the minute details. With nearly three decades of real estate experience, Marilyn has honed her skills in negotiation of the sale, finding creative solutions to sometimes perplexing problems and crafting scenarios where everyone leaves the table feeling like theyve won.

With so much advertising competing for buyers attention, Marilyn designs sharp, eye catching marketing campaigns to make her clients properties stand out. Her background in journalism, photography, marketing and the visual arts has been a tremendous boon for her in this area. The combination of local and national print advertising, intensive internet marketing, including social media, three websites and good old-fashioned people skills and networking ensures that Marilyns clients properties reach the broadest market possible. Marilyns goal is to deliver her clients a top-notch, professional experience tailored to their needs and working style, that produces results and sales.

A Denver native, Marilyn graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Journalism and did post graduate work in fine arts photography at the University of Oregon. Arriving in Santa Fe in the late-1970s, she freelanced for the Albuquerque Journal as its cultural arts photographer and helmed the Orchestra of Santa Fes marketing department.

Giving back to her community has always been a priority to Marilyn. For three years, she chaired the Buckaroo Balls House & Garden tour. Having helped open one of the first Native-American owned art galleries in Santa Fe, she has remained a stalwart supporter of the Native American arts community. Animal protection and environmental conservation are also causes she deeply cares about.

In her spare time, Marilyn enjoys hiking and traveling to exotic locations where she indulges her passion for photography. Her work has been featured in galleries and published collections. An animal lover, she is also the happy Mom of two dogs and three kitties.
